'A Woven Warning' truly demonstrates the power the weft has in determining the final appearance of a woven cloth. For this project, we have chosen to weave a variety of colourways, experimenting with combinations of warp design and bright weft threads. It is mesmerising to watch our looms in motion, as the shafts repeatedly create openings between the top shed (yarns that are raised) and the bottom shed (yarns that are not raised).
