During the hottest phase of the entire Cenozoic (the Eocene), temperatures soared as much as 27 degrees F higher than today (15 C). These were the circumstances that these little tropical crabs thrived, along sandy reefs of inland modern day Texas. What a beautiful world to glimpse in to. . . . #fossils #fossilhunting #paleontology
