Labour Minister Leroy Baptiste is urging migrants to report workplace exploitation, after Venezuelan chef Suyin Salazar claimed she fell ill while working and was dismissed by her employer, who withheld her salary. Migrant advocates are now calling for an investigation. The employer has now agreed to pay the outstanding salary after Minister Baptiste agreed to investigate complaints.
