Today members of the community, the Fauquier Sheriff's Office, and Fauquier Fire and Rescue honored a fallen hero. The Virginia State Police motorcade escorted US Army Staff Sergeant Ryan Knauss through Fauquier County to his final resting place. Staff Sergeant Knauss was one of 13 US service members killed in Afghanistan securing the airport during the withdrawal.
