Everyone always wants to know when the “best” time to prune is. For most plants it’s late winter/early spring. For flowering shrubs it’s within a few weeks after they bloom. (This is for our pleasure, not the health of the plants.) But you shouldn’t feel constrained by this because you can prune at other times.
