Today, FDNY Fire Marshals, working in tandem with the NYPD and ATF, announced the arrest of Remus Nedelcu for allegedly setting multiple fires in Queens and in Manhattan. Just after 2:00pm on Thursday, the #FDNY responded to reports of a fire in a private dwelling in Brooklyn. The fire quickly went to a 3rd alarm and was brought under control at 4:38pm. New York City’s elite Urban Search and Rescue Team (USAR) New York Task Force-1 members are assisting with the rescue of stranded civilians who have become trapped due to rising, rapidly flowing flood waters from Hurricane Matthew.
