M6 Closed North and Southbound near Penrith following a crash. Both North and Southbound carriageways of the M6 are shut between Junction 41 Penrith and Junction 42 Carlisle after a HGV is understood to have crashed into the crash barrier between the two carriageways. The incident was first reported just before 6pm this afternoon Monday, 22nd December. Update 7pm. Traffic is once again flowing on the M6 with delays and lane closures past the accident. | Penrith Town
