James Johnston Blanchard (born August 8, 1942) is an American attorney, diplomat, and politician who served as the 45th governor of Michigan from 1983 to 1991.

Those both have happened under Blanchard, finishing No. 28 in 2023 and No. 25 in 2024 respectively. The Red Raiders were able to land several impressive recruits during that stretch.
