On Friday at 9:08 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until Sunday at 1 a.m. for Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Armstrong and Indiana counties.

Snow is going to develop right overhead of Lower Michigan this morning. There will be steady snow eventually and widespread accumulations of a few inches. The winter weather advisory map below nicely shows where snow-covered and slick roads will develop.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of North Texas until 12 p.m. Friday. Early Friday morning, the originally issued winter storm warning was canceled and replaced with the advisory.

Overnight, the National Weather Service upgraded the entire Tri-State area to a winter storm warning for Friday.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for this weekend across the northern Black Hills. This warning does not include Rapid City, but be alert to strong winds and areas of heavy snow in the warning area through Monday.
