Veteran right-hander Shelby Miller might make his Brewers debut soon if a minor-league rehab assignment goes well.

The Milwaukee Brewers uniquely acquired Shelby Miller at the trade deadline this year from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Even more interesting than the trade itself, is the fact that the Brew Crew added Miller knowing he was on the mend from a flexor tendon strain.

Right-hander Shelby Miller moved closer to his Milwaukee Brewers debut after he departed on a minor league rehab assignment to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. Miller was moved from the Arizona Diamondbacks to the Brewers at last week's trade deadline in a deal that also brought left-hander Jordan Montgomery to Milwaukee.
