The Santa Monica Police Department on Thursday identified the suspect in the Wednesday shooting that injured a police officer and prompted a large search.

The 31-year-old man suspected of shooting a Santa Monica Police Department officer also allegedly shot two juveniles in a Waymo vehicle in the city earlier in the week, according to police. The suspect remained in custody today in lieu of $1 million bail.

Police arrested a man suspected of opening fire at Santa Monica Place mall. The man is also a person of interest in an incident where a suspect shot at a Waymo.
