A man allegedly purchased explosives to use to attack police during protests against the Trump administration's immigration enforcement actions in LA.

The Department of Justice charged a Texas man on Wednesday with purchasing and transporting explosives with the intent to attack police officers in Los Angeles during the anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement riots last week.

Grzegorz Vandenberg allegedly asked truck stop employees for the largest fireworks he had, because he wanted to shoot them at officers during the Los Angeles protests.

Downtown Los Angeles businesses are hoping customers will return after Mayor Karen Bass lifted a curfew she had imposed last week to prevent vandalism and break-ins during nighttime protests against President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

She says the curfew protected stores, restaurants, businesses and residents from people engaging in vandalism and looting.
