On August 12, 2025, in Oklahoma City, the roof of the historic Jim Norick Arena came down in a dramatic, planned implosion.

The Department has identified the victim in a deadly shooting that happened on August 9. According to OKCPD, officers responded to an apartment complex near NE 6th St. and Stonewall Ave. around 4 p.m.

Rascal Flatts will be hitting the highway once again, along with a stop in Oklahoma City as part of the iconic music groups “Life Is A Highway Tour” in 2026.
