Most of Saturday's deaths occurred as Palestinians massed in the Teina area, about three kilometres from an aid distribution centre backed by the U.S. and Israel, near the southern city of Khan Younis.
The continued onslaught and mass deprivation of people in the Gaza Strip is becoming normalised, the UN aid coordination office OCHA warned on Friday.

The GHF aid distribution scheme was established after Israel partially lifted its blockade of aid supplies into Gaza. It established four sites - called "Safe Distribution Centres (SDS)" - on the strip. Three were located in the south, near Rafah, and one in central Gaza.
