The coach of Poland’s national soccer announced Thursday has resigned as head coach, days after a spat with star striker Robert Lewandowski.

The future of star striker Robert Lewandowski on Poland’s national football team will be up to the next head coach, football chief Cezary Kulesza said on Thursday, following the resignation of manager Michał Probierz.

Poland manager Michal Probierz resigned Thursday following a row over his decision to replace the country's record goal scorer Robert Lewandowski as captain.
