The eight stores in Pennsylvania are among the first 47 Rite Aid locations to close. Rite Aid has indicated that a majority of its stores will remain open for only a few months, signaling the end is near for the drugstore chain.

If you have prescriptions at Rite Aid, you could see a big change coming due to another bankruptcy filing from the company. After filing for bankruptcy a second time within two years, Rite Aid stores will now be sold or closed in the next few weeks or months.

Pharmacy chain Rite Aid announced it began Chapter 11 proceedings Monday. Stores will remain open for pharmacy services over the next few months.
