Chase Elliott moved into the NASCAR Cup Series regular season points lead with a strong day at Dover on July 20. Following Shane van Gisbergen's second consecutive win one week ago at Sonoma Raceway, the NASCAR Cup Series was at Dover Motor Speedway on Sunday for the running of the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400, which saw Denny Hamlin prevail in a double-overtime finish over teammate Chase Briscoe and go back-to-back at the Monster Mile.
The NASCAR Cup Series hits Dover Motor Speedway for an afternoon race that will also serve as the fourth round of the in-season challenge.
With a 20th-place finish, Dillon -- the No. 32 and final seed in the In-Season Challenge -- advanced to the final round of the tournament, where he will race Gibbs (who won his matchup against Tyler Reddick) for a $1 million prize in next weekend's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis.
