Texas Tech director of athletics Kirby Hocutt issued a statement on social media after JT Toppin was ejected in the Red Raiders' win over Houston.

Texas Tech Athletics Director Kirby Hocutt issued a statement in support of JT Toppin and Texas Tech Basketball Head Coach Grant McCasland on Saturday night, after they were ejected from tonight’s game against Houston.

Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt said he was “appalled” at an ejection that happened during his team’s 82-81 upset overtime win at No. 6 Houston on Saturday night. JT Toppin was tossed from the game in the first half after his leg made contact with, uh, a sensitive area on Joseph Tugler’s body.
