Darylnn Washington was found dead on June 5, 2006, in a vacant building on Harding Street in Detroit. Police believe she had been dead for seven days before her body was found. She was unidentified for 18 years until DNA testing helped police identify her.

"Not only do I find him to be a flight risk based on his past behavior, leaving the scene of the accident, I do think he is a danger to the community if he continues to drive," the judge said.
