The Las Vegas Raiders have officially hired Chip Kelly as their next offensive coordinator. Kelly led one of the most explosive offenses in college football at Ohio State last season, helping the Buckeyes win the national championship.

The Las Vegas Raiders made the announcement Tuesday that former Oregon head coach, Chip Kelly, will be joining them as offensive coordinator. Kelly has a combined 34 years of coaching, spanning across four years as an NFL head coach and around three decades at the university level.

The Raiders and Chip Kelly made it official on Tuesday. Word came on Sunday that the Raiders would hire Kelly as their offensive coordinator and the team announced the move on Tuesday afternoon. Kelly joins Pete Carroll’s staff years after they matched up as head coaches on both the collegiate and professional level.
