Great Western Railway (GWR) will introduce the UK’s first battery-only powered train into passenger service on Saturday 31 January.

The Llangollen and Corwen Railway has announced that GWR Pannier Tank No. 1369 will be visiting for their Branch Line Gala.

From this Sunday, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway will join the growing list of operators owned by the public.
