New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner has won the coin toss and chose to bat first against India in the 2025 Champions Trophy final.

The final of the Champions Trophy will be held in Dubai despite Pakistan being tournament hosts after India reached the final. Political tensions between Pakistan and India led to the tournament favourites refusing to play their matches in the host country.

New Zealand set India a victory target of 252 in the Champions Trophy final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Daryl Mitchell made 63 and Michael Bracewell contributed an unbeaten 53 down the order to help New Zealand post a competitive 251-7 after electing to bat.

Australia has won the toss and opted to bat against India in the first semifinal of the 2025 Champions Trophy.

India were far from their best on the field after they were asked to bowl by New Zealand in the Champions Trophy final in Dubai. They put down as many as four catches which came in two pairs, both in consecutive overs,

New Zealand beat India 3-0 in a test series in its own backyard, a feat never registered before. India went on to lose in Australia. Both series defeats cost India a spot in the World Test Championship final. It has only gained little redemption in reaching the Champions Trophy final here.

Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the final match of the Champions Trophy 2025. After almost 8 years, this tournament will get its new champion. In the title battle, the teams of India and New Zealand will face each other at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
