Citect, a provider of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and manufacturing execution system (MES) products, was purchased by Schneider Electric in March 2006 following a bidding war.

Under the proposed Merger Implementation Agreement, Sydney-based Citect shareholders would receive a cash payment of $1.50 a share plus a fully franked dividend of five cents per share.
