America is turning 250 years old this year, and in the Big Apple, spectators will be able to watch the iconic Macy’s July 4th fireworks in person from spots along both the East and Hudson rivers. Macy’s announced Friday that its annual pyrotechnic show is expanding to the lower East River in the Seaport District and the lower Hudson River in collaboration with Jersey City.

Organizers of the Fourth of July fireworks display on the National Mall are trying to break a world record this year.  The show will feature more than 800,000 fireworks, and last more than half an hour.

The venue announced it will host the annual Fourth of July celebration with music by the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas.
