In addition to the warmth, severe storms will be possible overnight  Saturday night, Sunday night and Monday afternoon and evening. It was a hot and humid Saturday. Highs reached into the low 90s with a heat index hitting 100°.

Damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes will all be possible with this system, particularly across the northern counties in North Texas.

At least one person died in rising floodwaters in Texas overnight, authorities said, as the Midwest and parts of the South were battered by storms, flooding and suspected tornadoes. Dallas Fire-Rescue said in a statement that a boat team found two submerged vehicles in the north of the city.
