LOS ANGELES - An argument between two men in the Hyde Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles escalated into a physical confrontation Thursday evening, leading to Los Angeles Police Department officers fatally shooting a suspect.

LAPD says the officer was driving on Crenshaw Boulevard near Hyde Park Boulevard around 6:30 p.m. Thursday when they saw two men in a fight.

Multiple streets were closed off Thursday following a deadly officer-involved shooting in the South Los Angeles neighborhood of Hyde Park. The shooting was reported around 6:20 p.m. near the intersection of Hyde Park and Crenshaw Boulevard,
