Astronomer's new CEO is speaking out about the Coldplay concert kiss cam controversy, admitting the viral video has raised brand awareness for the tech firm.

In July 2025, following a viral incident at a Coldplay concert involving Andy Byron, then the CEO of tech company Astronomer ( archived ), an alleged video statement made by his wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, began circulating widely on social media.

Following Andy Byron's resignation, cofounder and chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy was named as interim CEO of the company

In the aftermath, it emerged that Wallen had refused to take part in a sketch about New York City, and he also started selling merch bearing the slogan: “Get me to God’s country.” The following week, Colin Jost joked about Wallen’s swift exit during Weekend Update.
