Star Telegram, the ultimate call to make the deal might not have been made by Cowboys owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, but rather by his son and team Executive Vice President, Stephen Jones.

The Dallas Cowboys made a major move on Wednesday, adding a much-needed offensive playmaker at wide receiver by agreeing to a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cowboys sent George Pickens and a 2027 sixth-round pick to Pittsburgh in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick.

Brian Schottenheimer also gets a guy called “truculent” and a “problem receiver” by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, citing his “temperament on the field” and “repeated” team violations that “became burdensome to his teammates and coach Mike Tomlin.”
