It barely rained at Progressive Field on Tuesday, and the Twins and Guardians followed the weather’s lead: Not much rain, and only a little bit of thunder in their bats. No Twin ever touched third base during the long-delayed game except for during Ty France’s home run trot.

Kyle Manzardo homered to right field to lead off the ninth inning as the Cleveland Guardians snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins.

Guardians starter Tanner Bibee opened the game with 11 straight outs. Carlos Correa ruined the vibe with a two-out double in the fourth, but Bibee came back and retired Trevor Larnach to end the innng and protect the 1-0 lead thanks to a Bo Naylor homer. The lead didn’t make it through the fifth.

The Guardians walked off the Minnesota Twins. on a Kyle Manzardo home run to right off Louis Varland to win 2-1 Tuesday, April 29, at Progressive Field in Game 2 of a four-game series. It was the first walk-off home run by the Guardians since Will Brennan did it on May 19 last season against the Twins.
