Yellow weather warnings for heavy rain are in place across Suffolk as Storm Claudia is set to hit the county. The unemployment rate in Mid Suffolk was lower than the UK average last year, new figures show. It comes as the UK jobless rate increased, with great disparities across regions. New figures from the Office for National Statistics show some 1,400 (2.7%) of the 54,021 economically active people in Mid Suffolk were unemployed in the year to June.
