To avoid errors, it's important to write PowerShell scripts that prevent code from running on an unintended platform. Luckily, this is easier to do than it sounds.

Now that I have shown you how to create a button within an Excel spreadsheet, I want to move forward with using that button to launch a PowerShell script. I will show you how in Part 2.

Use Windows 10 (it’s theoretically possible to run this in Windows 7, but you may experience headaches with outdated PowerShell versions since this script requires PowerShell 4.0 at minimum).
