Kyle Busch remembered during Indianapolis 500 with trackwide tributes
The Indianapolis 500 paid tribute to NASCAR star Kyle Busch on Sunday with special honors throughout the race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway following his death Thursday at age 41.

Kurt Busch will compete in the 2026 Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) NASCAR Classic at Circuit de la Sarthe, near Le Mans, France. The event runs from July 2-5, and will celebrate 50 years since NASCAR’s first attempt in the 24-hour race.
Alex Palou came up short Sunday in his bid for back-to-back Indianapolis 500 victories, finishing an uncharacteristic seventh place in the NTT IndyCar Series’ marquee event. But he and his Chip Ganassi Racing team got some more unpleasant news after the checkered flag.
The Greatest Spectacle in Racing is set to go down on Sunday, May 24, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with the 2026 Indy 500. The green flag for Sunday afternoon’s race is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. ET on FOX.
In a post on X, Chip Ganassi Racing announced the number 10 car driven by Alex Palou in Sunday's Indianapolis 500 has been issued a post-race technical inspection penalty. According to the post, a part failure was discovered in the front wing assembly of the number 10 car.
