A KCPD spokesperson said the woman was found in the backyard of a home on East 62nd Street just off Swope Parkway. She had been shot, and police said she died at the scene.
A KCPD spokesperson said officers responded to 39th Street and Baltimore Avenue just after 2 a.m. Saturday for a report of gunshots.
