A 'lost planet' may have given Jupiter and Uranus their moons
New research suggests the moons of Jupiter and Uranus may hint that our planetary neighborhood once had a third ice giant.
NASA's Juno spacecraft has snuck a peek at one of Jupiter's largest inner moons. During a close flyby, the spacecraft got a look at Jupiter's moon Thebe from just 3,100 miles (5,000 kilometers) away.
