Undefeated UConn keeps top spot in AP Top 25 women’s poll; Texas, South Carolina UCLA next
Undefeated UConn still has the top spot in The Associated Press Top 25 women's basketball poll. The Huskies received 24 first-place votes from a 32-member national media panel.
UConn remains the top team in the AP Top 25 after putting on a defensive clinic in a 79-51 win against USC on Saturday. The reigning national champions have now won 26 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Undefeated UConn still has the top spot in The Associated Press Top 25 women's basketball poll, but the Big Ten and SEC now make up the majority of the rankings.
Another year, another Top 25 ranking for Princeton. Coach Carla Berube's Tigers have been ranked at least for a week in The Associated Press women's basketball poll in four of the past five seasons after entering at No. 25 on Monday.
The big tweaks will come in the teens this week with No. 12 Alabama, No. 13 Illinois, No. 16 Texas Tech and No. 18 Florida all sustaining losses. No. 23 Nebraska's win over No. 13 Illinois and No. 25 UCLA's loss to No. 8 Gonzaga should also be a factor in the final tabulations.
