WASHINGTON (AP) — More than 50 universities are being investigated for alleged racial discrimination as part of President Donald Trump’s campaign to end diversity, equity and inclusion programs that his officials say exclude white and Asian American students.

They're among 60 schools that received letters from the Department of Education accusing them of violating Title IV of the Civil Rights Act.

The schools under scrutiny include dozens of state schools, including the University of Washington, and two Ivy Leagues. A number of private schools are also being targeted.
