Mexico says it sent 26 alleged cartel figures to the United States at the request of the Trump administration and to prevent these individuals from running their illicit businesses from Mexican prisons.

While the general update marks the entire country of Mexico at the "exercise increased caution" level, a few states are designated at the higher "reconsider travel," and "do not travel" levels.
