Pro Football Hall of Famer and media personality Shannon Sharpe is facing a lawsuit, accused of sexual assault and battery, and engaging in the intentional infliction of emotional distress.

A statement from Sharpe's lawyer said the relationship was consensual and called the lawsuit a "blatant and cynical attempt to shake down" Sharpe for millions of dollars.

The football great, TV analyst and podcaster denied any wrongdoing and said he only had consensual sex with the plaintiff.
