An officer is in critical condition after he was shot while police were breaking up a large fight outside Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said Wednesday afternoon.

Dachan Seay, 30, will be charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer for the shooting that critically wounded a police officer in Overbrook on Wednesday, sources said.

A rookie Philadelphia police officer was shot in the abdomen while responding to a fight near Overbrook High School on Wednesday afternoon.
