Mikel Arteta has finally got his way after Arsenal sealed the £52million signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea. The Blues’ bloated squad and willingness to listen to offers for the 23-year-old implied that the Gunners were simply taking advantage of a market opportunity by pouncing for the England international.

Madueke joins Arsenal from London rivals Chelsea in a deal that could be worth up to £52m if certain add-ons are met. The winger becomes the club’s fourth signing of the window following on from Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard.
