KPop Demon Hunters, produced by Sony Animation and available on Netflix since June 20 of this year, has been dominating music services like Spotify and has remained in Netflix's Top 10 films ever since its launch. Now, the fictional all-girl group HUNTR/X has hit a major milestone: hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Director Maggie Kang pitched the idea for "KPop Demon Hunters" right when K-pop was experiencing a spike in popularity in the United States, but we don't think anybody working on this project anticipated how huge of a hit it would be.
