More than 3,200 union members who assemble Boeing's fighter jets in the St. Louis area and Illinois went on strike on Monday after rejecting a second contract offer the previous day.

Some 3,200 Boeing workers who build fighter jets in St. Louis and another Missouri site and one in Illinois are on strike, their union says.

Drones operated by Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) struck five Russian fighter jets overnight on Aug. 4 at an airfield in Saky, a city in Russian-occupied Crimea, the agency said. Ukrainian drones, in a Special Operations Center "A" mission, destroyed a Su-30SM aircraft, damaged another, hit three Su-24s, and struck an aviation weapons depot.

Ukraine’s Security Service said its drones destroyed one jet and damaged four at Saki military airfield overnight, aiming to weaken Russia’s war capability in the occupied Crimea and on the Black Sea.
