Providence state Rep. Enrique Sanchez has been arrested and charged with drunk driving in Cranston, and police cited him for refusing a sobriety test, according to Col. Michael Winquist. The second-term Democrat pleaded not guilty and was released after his arraignment Monday morning.

State Rep. Enrique Sanchez was not at the State House for Tuesday’s session of the Rhode Island House of Representatives. This comes one day after Sanchez, a Providence Democrat, was arrested for drunk driving on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston.
