Kelly Marie Tran stars in a scary, heavily metaphorical movie as an author and influencer bedeviled by various personal demons—as well as an unrelenting itch on the back of her head.

Kelly Marie Tran and writer-director Shal Ngo spoke with UPI about their horror film "Control Freak," on Hulu Friday, in which Tran plays a motivational speaker plagued by an itchy head.

When Control Freak is following Valerie’s quest to puzzle together her past—and hopefully cure her godawful itch before a) her speaking tour, or b) she does permanent damage while trying to relieve her agony—there’s an urgency to the story that makes you eager to see what she finds out.
