Brad Marchand’s hockey afterlife officially began Tuesday morning on Causeway Street, where he returned to the ice for the first time in more than a week, and for the first as an ex-Bruin.

Brad Marchand stepped back onto the ice at the TD Garden on Tuesday — this time in a Panthers practice jersey as the longtime Bruins player returned to Boston for the first time since he was traded to Florida.

Marchand still got some work in with his new squad, and while standing next to Panthers center Sam Bennett on the ice, the team snapped a photo of the two smiling together. The photo has since made its rounds on social media, and Bennett even shared it on his Instagram story with a two-word message after practice.
