Adam Sandler gives late actor Cameron Boyce a subtle tribute by way of a secret cameo in Netflix's 'Happy Gilmore 2.'

Online, fans were moved by the tribute, which comes six years after Boyce's death. Boyce's mom, Libby Boyce, thanked Sandler for "honoring Cam's legacy" in a joint post with the official Instagram account for the Cameron Boyce Foundation, which funds epilepsy research, education and awareness.

Sandler and co-writer Tim Herlihy tell The Hollywood Reporter about the project landing Netflix's biggest U.S. film debut and the possibility of more sequels for the star's movies after its success: "This throws it open.
