Blackstone told employees on Friday it will reopen its New York headquarters on August 4, a week after shuttering it in the wake of a shooting that killed four people including one of its executives.

Blackstone Inc. executive Wesley LePatner has been named as one of the four people killed in the mass shooting in New York on Monday evening.

"Wesley was a beloved member of the Blackstone family and will be sorely missed," Blackstone said."She was brilliant, passionate, warm, generous, and deeply respected within our firm and beyond."
